Confession, I actually hate doing studio shots on a white background. It feels so commercial. It makes me feel like I’m taking shots out of a Macy’s catalog.

Project V: Night

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

Night is a fashion series focused on anonymity. The goal for the lighting was to attempt to replicate a night time feeling while inside the studio.

If you liked the series, don’t forget to check out all of the Project V previews.

Privacy in Public

Monday, February 7th, 2011

So how many of my readers remember Privacy in Public? An urban street wear brand that my friend Carlton put together almost 3 years ago. PIP was probably the very first shoot I did (I say probably because I’m too lazy to look through my archives and verify this) in 2008 when I just bought my camera.

We were all still in high school back then. Fast forward 3 years later, and Carlton’s at it again, giving Privacy in Public another shot. This time he’s a little bit more experienced and I’m a little bit better at lighting my pictures haha.

Oh, and just for shits and giggles, check out the first batch of photos I took in 2008 (high school, junior year). I had a giant white sheet taped to basement wall and used two lamps to light my pictures back then >__<
