So school is over and I can finally stop complaining about being swamped with work. Work has calmed down, school isn’t a concern for me anymore and I’ve been lounging about for the past few days. I’ve also finally realized just how much work a vintage restore project is. I honestly thought I would have this bike complete in just 4 weeks, but that clearly wasn’t the case. The bike was finally in a ride-able condition earlier this week and I was planning to finish the cosmetic changes, but I got a little brave and decided to do some modifications to the charging system first. Long story short… I broke it again. For the mean time, I’m putting this project on hold until July (aiming to finish it in August) so I can begin focusing on taking pictures again instead.

So what’s going on now? I plan to do a summer photo series on people I meet over the break and I will be keeping it updated through this blog. I’m still working out how I’m going to approach this but I will be posting my progress every few days and plan to have a final collection of photos some time in July.

Going through my pictures for the past 2 weeks, I think it’s definitely starting to show how little effort I’ve been putting into my 365 project. I’m actually surprised I’m still keeping up with it. On a side note, I took a look at my calendar and it just hit me that my classes are ending in the next week and a half. Finals are just around the corner and I had no idea how fast the school year was going by. Looks like the next few updates are going to be slow as well. But bear with me here, I’ll pick up on this photo work soon enough. I just have to get through these next few weeks.

These past few days I’ve been swamped with work from clients and school and in addition to all that I ended up buying an old 1975 Honda CL360 as a restore project. I haven’t been able to do much photography work because of all this, in fact I even stopped carrying my camera around (really no point considering I barely leave the house now), and started using my phone for most of my shots. Aside from school and finals, I’m hoping to have my other projects taken care of within the next 2 weeks and the workload is beginning to lighten, so hopefully I can get back to taking pics soon.
