Hi my name is Francis.

I'm just a college student trying to remember what this life is like through photographs.

Key to the City: Manhattan | Cathedral of St. John the Devine

August 17th, 2010

I’m not religious, but I can still appreciate the Cathedral of St. John the Devine. The place is absolutely gorgeous! This was my first time ever stepping foot in there, and I’m pretty glad I took the time out to check it out.

Key to the City: Manhattan | Trinity Church

August 17th, 2010

I think I’m one of the few people who’s never been in a graveyard before. They seriously creep me out. Our key opened up the gate for Trinity Church’s graveyard to visit Alexander Hamilton’s grave.

Key to the City: Manhattan | Whitney Museum

August 16th, 2010

I couldn’t take it anymore. The surge of black and white photos on my already black and white blog was starting to get to me. So from now on I’ll be handling the rest of the Key to the City updates in color.

Check out the Whitney Museum. Our key opened up a 3D blueprint of the Whitney’s expanded building that will open up in the next upcoming years.

Key to the City: Manhattan | Gracie Mansion

August 16th, 2010

I mentioned before that the Key to the City location for the NYC council member’s office was probably the most boring place I’ve ever been to… I was wrong. Gracie Mansion was the most god awful waste of time I’ve ever had. The Mansion is home to New York’s previous mayors. Other than that, I won’t even bother describing the rest of it.

365 Project: Week 32

August 13th, 2010

The team celebrating Angela’s 20th birthday!

Our next birthday girl, Sarah turning 19.

Porsha caught in some Harlem lights.

I finished my first radio install in my Mazda3! I pulled this one off with a plastic cake cutting knife!

Nikon Theater wouldn’t let me bring my camera into the venue so I had to take this shot of Owl City with my cell phone.

Staring out into the water at Staten Island.

Key to the City: Queens | Eddie’s Sweet Shop

August 13th, 2010

We ended our trip through Queens with Eddie’s Sweet Shop. The key belonged to a small box behind the counter that housed messages from other participants.

Key to the City: Queens | Tortilleria Nixtamal

August 11th, 2010

Tortilleria Nixtamal is a modest little tortilla shop tucked away in Queens. The key to the city opened up the the door to the employee-only basement kitchen where participants were taught how to make their own tortillas =]

Key to the City: Queens | Office of NYC Council Member

August 11th, 2010

Here’s a look at the Key to the City’s most boring location so far, the office of NYC council member Daniel Dromm. We actually got lost on the way here, which made the it an even bigger let down when we finally unlocked it. They key opens up a glass window with random trinkets hidden behind an American flag. *Yawn*, moving on now.
